Green Team

IGS strives to be a leader in all it does – this includes our sustainability initiatives.  At the industry level, IGS VP of Business Development, Paul Ryan is a member of the Association of Retail Environments, “Green 100” Committee that is charged with defining the standards by which all fixtures will be judged.

Internally at IGS we have designated our own “green team” which is responsible for ensuring that we operate under the cleanest and greenest standards possible. Our internal improvements and initiatives include:

Fewer Chemicals: In 2004 IGS switched to water based adhesives and stopped using chemical and formaldehyde adhesives during the manufacturing process. We also switched to citrus-based cleaning products instead of those made with acetone.

Waste and Energy Reduction: IGS has invested in a state of the art dust collection system and is investigating on-site waste-to-energy alternatives. Our recycling program has also resulted in the equivalent savings of 70 trees annually.

Certified Materials: Over ninety percent of the particle board used by IGS is Environmentally Preferred Product certified by the Composite Panel Association for 100% recycled content and voluntary low formaldehyde emissions standards.

Since our sustainability efforts come through in the products and fixtures we build, working with IGS means you get to share in our environmentally-friendly practices.
