IGS Figures Help Warm Up Boston
This fall, IGS has teamed up with Land’s End for its 2009 annual holiday giving campaign called the Big Boston Warm-Up. At Land’s End’s request, IGS created 768 stick figures and donated the labor to install them on Boylston Plaza at the Prudential Center in Boston.
Each of the stick figures represents 10 people who, unless they receive a donation, will go without a coat this winter. For every 10 coats donated, a stick figure will get a warm red heart, symbolizing that 10 people will be warmer this winter.
Richard Swaziek, Director of Procurement at Lands End said, “The Lands' End leadership team was very pleased how the figures looked. Thanks to the IGS Team for helping to make it all come together for a successful Lands' End art installation in downtown Boston.”
Paul Ryan, Vice President of Business Development at IGS Store Fixtures said, “IGS is thrilled to be a part of this very important campaign.” He noted, “Our staff was humbled to learn of the enormity of the problem, yet gratified to be able to take part in raising awareness about the need for winter coat donations.”
Coats can be donated at any Land’s End Shop at Sears in eastern Massachusetts. In return, Land’s End gives the donor 20% off a new Land’s End coat. For more details on how to donate a coat visit www.bigbostonwarmup.com
